Facelift, Neck lift

As we get older, our skin, fat, and muscles become saggy, which causes wrinkles. In this case, the most common way to treat them is by pulling up the skin and the facial muscles.

Facelift surgery is a procedure that removes the wrinkles and the drooping muscles through a minimal incision near the ear. In order to improve the nasolabial fold, fat injection can be performed together with the lifting procedure. The operation takes about 3-4 hours, and local anesthesia is mainly preferred. In most of the cases you can return home immediately after surgery. After 4-5 days from the surgery the thread is pulled out, while the bruises and the swelling will withdraw after 2 weeks.

What is facial wrinkle surgery?

Facial wrinkle surgery is a procedure in which facial and neck wrinkles are improved by pulling up the skin through an incision near the ear. The procedure is focused on improving the wrinkles near the mouth, the cheek and the jaw. As you get older, when the fat or soft tissue of the face sags down, the cheeks drop also, making the lower part of the cheeks to drop further, causing lower jaw wrinkles and nasolabial wrinkles. But through facelift procedure, the saggy skin is pulled up and the wrinkles are corrected.

Characteristics of the surgery

• The incision is made surrounding the ear, from the temporal region to the front of the ear, and continues till back of it.
• If the facial tissue that has to be pulled up is not too severe, the incision can be made only in front of the ear.
• After the incision made, the skin of the face is separated from the facial fascia and lifted.
• The skin is pulled up and fixed in order to lift the soft tissue or fat into the right place.
• The blood is suctioned and the extra skin is removed, and then the skin is sutured.
• Because of the swelling, the face looks a little wider at first, but when the swelling withdraws, you can see the improvements of the procedure.

The most recent lifting method is by cutting the skin near the ear and suturing it either inside the ear, or behind it, so the scar is less visible. With the technique used in the past, the focus was only on lifting the skin, and the left scar could have 1 cm length, but the new procedure focuses on the skin, the expression muscles, and fat bags, and it fixes all these parts, so the skin gets a natural look, and the scar is less visible.

Permanent lifting	Permanent effects can be obtained through a single surgery by making an incision in the skin to the SMAS layer, and lifting it all together.
Natural expression lifting	By properly setting the lifting point and the pulling direction, the unnatural post-op facial expression can be prevented, and satisfactory results can be achieved.
Exceptional wrinkles lifting	Through the lifting procedure, the face will look smaller, and the deep wrinkles are improved.

Forehead wrinkle formation

The wrinkles on the forehead are caused by the contraction and relaxation of the expression muscles, which covers the entire forehead. When wrinkles begin to appear on the forehead, the muscles of the eyebrows are drooping making the eyelids to droop also. Usually, when the skin of the forehead becomes sagging, the horizontal wrinkles are deep and the vertical wrinkles appear between the eyebrows, but through forehead lifting procedure the wrinkles can be corrected. The most important thing in this surgery is how to minimize the scar, while assuring a 5 to 10 years effect of the surgery.

Endoscopic forehead lift

It is a procedure that tightens the wrinkles of the forehead and the drooping eyebrows caused by aging or because of the expression muscles. It is recommended to those who are suffering from drooping eyebrows and forehead wrinkles.

• When the eyelids are saggy because of the drooping eyebrows
• When you have deeply wrinkled nose root or forehead
• When the eyebrows are moving up when you open your eyes
• When the forehead and eyebrows are changing because of the aging process.

Surgical Procedure

Forehead wrinkle surgery is performed by cutting the skin from one side of the upper ear through the scalp till the other ear. After the incision is made the muscles and the skin are pulled up and the extra skin is cut. When suturing, the most important point is that the suture area is not too wide so no scar are left. If you want to improve the vertical wrinkle between the eyebrows, the skin is separated from the muscle, and pulled up. If you don’t need a whole forehead lifting, but you want only a nose root wrinkle improvement, a small incision is made and through an endoscope the wrinkle can be corrected.
