What is petit plastic surgery?

Filler and botox are also called petit plastic surgery. Petit plastic surgery is a simple procedure and it actually doesn’t involve surgery, but it is done by injecting the substance into muscle or skin tissue. It has the advantage that it does not interfere with your daily life, as right after the procedure you can do your usual activities, but the disadvantage that the effect is not permanent, so the procedure has to be repeated.
The effect lasts differently from person to person, and it is influenced also by the type of materials used for the procedure.

What is Botox?

Botulinum toxin (BTX) is a neurotoxic protein produced by the bacterium Clostridium botulinum, and causes muscle paralysis. By using botulinum toxins in very small amount that doesn’t cause toxic effects for the body, the facial muscles that influence the wrinkles are paralyzed, so the wrinkles are also corrected. The biggest advantages of this procedure is that even without anesthesia the pain is endurable, it takes only 5 to 15 minutes, and you can go back to your normal daily life right after the injection is done.

Where Botox can be injected?

 
  Facial wrinkles (forehead / eye / nose root/ nasolabial fold)

Botox can be injected to improve the face wrinkles, especially the ones which appear when smiling or laughing, due to a low elasticity of the skin.

  Square Jaw

It can be used when the muscle that covers the jaw is developed, and it makes your jaw to look uneven.

  Calf

Botox procedure can be perform in order to reduce the volume of the calf in case the muscle is too developed, and it can make a beautiful line without anesthesia.

What you should know about Botox procedure?

There is a misconception that Botox can improve all the wrinkles. If the wrinkled skin is stretched with the fingers, but the skin still has a folding line, then together with botox, filler injection should be performed for a better result.
Also another misconception is that after the medical effect of Botox is done, the wrinkles will get more pronounced.

Advantages and characteristics of Botox

Principle

If the muscles of the jaw or of the calf are developed and Botox is injected, then the muscle are contracted, reducing their volume.
For the facial muscle from the nose root, forehead, eyes, mouth, etc., the injection paralyzes the muscles and it makes the skin to spread, correcting the wrinkles.

Convenience

The procedure takes only 5 to 15 minutes, and it doesn’t affect with your daily activities.

Safety

There is no general anesthesia, no incision made, no scars or infection after the surgery.

Precautions after Botox injection

• Swelling, bruises, or the itching feeling will disappear naturally.
• Massages on the injected part, hot saunas, or severe exercise should be restrained for a while.
• After the procedure, it is recommended not to lie down for about 4 hours, to prevent the drug from spreading to the surrounding muscles.
• After the procedure, you might feel a headache or dizzy, but it is just temporary and in 2-3 days the side effects will disappear.
• If the place where Botox was injected is painful, or if it gets red after one day from the injection, you should visit a hospital.
• In case you had the injection in your jaw muscle, it is recommended to avoid hard food.
